Program Note

In the silence of a winter night, a cry fades into the wind—unanswered, unheard. The Voices Unheard is a musical reflection on the countless abandoned and neglected dogs whose suffering often goes unnoticed. Based on Cheni Thein’s three poignant poems, which capture the pain of loss and longing, this piece gives voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. The Voices Unheard is more than just a piece of music—it is a call to empathy. Through its melodies, it urges us to see, to listen, and to care for the creatures who depend on us. May we offer them more than silence. May we respond with love. Through this music, I hope the audience gains a deeper awareness of the importance of animal welfare and recognizes the responsibility we all share in creating a world where no being is left to suffer alone.
